The Justice Department, after its investigation, announced that there would be no charges filed against anyone who was “allegedly” targeting conservative groups. The Justice Department’s reasoning was that every case is different, with different facts that must be examined.
On a note, the IRS has powers that it can execute when it comes to taxes etc. As a typical citizen, or anyone with an IRS challenge, the best approach is to work with an expert to avoid any IRS issues.
The truth is no one on the bottom rung of the ladder has the power or the means to go toe-to-toe with the IRS. Avoid the challenge—hook up with a tax expert.
