The Special Event Linen Company is a manufacturer that makes tablecloths<\/a> for hotels and restaurants. The company is based in Lincolnton. The manufacturing company had no less than six tax liens filed against it between June, 2013 and February, 2015<\/a>. The same owner of the Special Event Linen Company proposed to build an extreme sports complex in the same city. The proposal is scheduled for another hearing in January, 2016. <\/span><\/p>\n Schnell, reached by phone and questioned about the past liens, stated that every issue has been resolved and that it is now a thing of the past and that he is current on all back taxes. Apparently, the IRS was contacted and could not, by law, affirm or deny Schnell\u2019s claim. No doubt, the county commission is waiting to verify his claim before granting his request to build his sports center. Certain IRS disclosure laws prevent them from making specific information public. There could possibility be a gap in reporting information with respect to what the county commission needs, and what the IRS can legally reveal.<\/p>\n
