When you\u2019re in the captain\u2019s chair<\/a>, you\u2019re responsible for everything that happens on your watch. Such is the case with respect to former Arrow Trucking Co. CEO James Pielsticker.<\/p>\n

His company fell and his defense is that the fall was not his fault. Under the circumstances, his attorney would like the judge to impose the lightest sentence possible. Pielsticker also sites a bad heart as a reason that he should be given probation rather than serve hard jail time. <\/span><\/p>\n

He also added that sentencing him after Nov. 1 would benefit his cause since there are proposed federal sentencing guidelines that would weigh in his favor. He admits having made some bad decisions. However he places most of the blame for his company\u2019s demise on the actions of two subordinates and a bad economy.<\/p>\n

Unfortunately, the captain always goes down with the ship\u2014in theory anyhow. Pielsticker led a lavish lifestyle while his company failed.<\/p>\n
