In a move to make up money in the Lower Income Pool (LIP), Governor Rick Scott has\u00a0proposed to increase the taxes on hospitals. \u00a0However this move has been strongly opposed by the hospitals themselves. \u00a0In a letter signed by 22 of Florida’s hospitals, the Florida Hospitals Association instead backed a proposal by the Senate to expand Medicaid under the Affordable Care Act,\u00a0which in turn is opposed by the Florida House of Representatives and Governor Rick Scott. \u00a0Click here to watch or read more information on IRS Back Taxes.<\/a><\/p>\n
