In a very disturbing and damning report, the Treasury\u00a0Inspector General for Tax Administration (TIGTA) has revealed that almost 1,600 of the IRS’ own employees have knowingly and purposely evaded paying federal income taxes on their own incomes over a 10-year period from 2004 to 2013. \u00a0What’s more, some of these employees were\u00a0not dismissed even\u00a0after\u00a0their violations\u00a0were discovered. \u00a0In fact, they were even promoted, received raises and bonuses.<\/p>\n
