www.forbes.com \u2014 Bill and Hillary Clinton can sometimes sound like Sargent Schulz on the old Hogan\u2019s Heroes show. \u201cI know nothing!\u201d As Mrs. Clinton remains largely mum, the former President said the Foundation had \u201dnever done anything knowingly inappropriate.\u201d He sounded annoyed, a little like his \u201cI did not have sexual relations with that woman.\u201d<\/p>\n
Mrs. Clinton had repeatedly promised disclosure and transparency, but then her private email server and preposterous \u2018single wireless device\u2019 excuse emerged. Oh well, \u2018mistakes were made. The acting CEO of the Clinton Foundation posted a statement acknowledging that the Foundation failed to separate government grants from donations. Oops, we\u2019re amending our tax returns, no harm done, the Foundation suggests. It is clear that the Foundation does good works. The \u2018no harm done\u2019 is somewhat less clear, and it isn\u2019t just the tax returns.<\/p>\n
